Major League Baseball Faces Labor Shutdown Challenge

Major League Baseball is facing a potential labor shutdown as the collective bargaining agreement nears its expiration. Owners and the MLB Players Association are far apart on key issues, with the deadline set for 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 1. If a lockout happens, players will be barred from team facilities and won't receive pay. Competitive balance remains a hot topic, with the players' union rejecting the league's salary cap proposal.
