Marufa Akter will miss the New Zealand tour, confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. She's focusing on recovering from an ankle injury and is currently in an Aircast boot. A BCB official said, "She is unavailable for the tour of New Zealand as we don't want to rush her considering she is one of our premier cricketers." Her absence is a setback for Bangladesh's pace bowling unit.

The tour includes three ODIs and three T20Is starting in December.
