A Clawsome Tale
This whimsical and engaging short documentary invites audiences into the remarkable world of The National Lobster Hatchery in Cornwall, UK. Opened in 2000 to avert a regional collapse of European lobster populations, the facility's mission echoes the declines seen in Scandinavia and the Mediterranean. Narrated by Lowenna, a European lobster, the film traces her passage through the hatchery and follows her offspring as they begin life there before being released back to the sea. Seen through her perspective, the story also introduces the passionate people working to safeguard her species, including Cornish fisherman Dan Gilbert and Ben Marshall, Head of Hatchery Production.
