Five years after Borderless, Nao, Kiri, and Kotone have each embarked on independent lives. When a novel written by Kiri is published under the name of a popular young actress, she is dissatisfied yet unable to resist the lure. Complicating matters, a series of incidents surfaces, tracing echoes of events within the works. They cannot accept it as mere coincidence, and wonder who imitated whom and for what reason. As they strive to uncover the truth behind these echoes, an unavoidable tragedy strikes them once again.
