Air Girl
Komari Sano's parents ran a modest Tokyo workshop that manufactured aircraft parts, and their influence fueled Komari's dream of becoming a pilot. During World War II, her older brother died as a kamikaze pilot, and her parents perished in the bombing of Tokyo, leaving Komari an orphan in the care of her aunt, who operated a ryotei (an upscale traditional restaurant). After the war, aerial activities were initially banned in Japan. After lengthy negotiations with the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, Sizuo Matsuki, the security chief of the Civil Aviation Bureau, Japan's civil aviation was finally launched. Komari Sano applies for the position of cabin attendant.
