Antarctica - Domain One

Vast and untamed yet profoundly fragile, the coldest region on Earth is among the most vulnerable to climate change and demands protection. This expedition centers on exploring, documenting, and surfing in the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, in the area known as Domain 1, which is being advanced toward Marine Protected Area (MPA) status. Protected areas are crucial for mitigating climate change and, in this case, also for regulating human activities such as concentrated fishing. This documentary illuminates the significance of this region and the threats it faces.
