At the climactic showdown of Battle Arena Toshinden, Eiji Shinjo faces Gaia, the tournament's sponsor, in a bout that carries the visceral energy of Mortal Kombat. Gaia asserts that Eiji's prowess rivals that of his long-lost brother Sho, but before he can elaborate, Chaos, an operative from the same Organization, intervenes, dispatched to eliminate Gaia after discovering Gaia's plan to rally fighters to overthrow the Organization.
