Before Father Gets Back
In a dim classroom, cracked white walls rise up as a makeshift cinema screen. Set in a remote mountain village in Georgia, the projector's beam cuts through the darkness as the children's first cinematic experience is about to unfold. Among them are Iman and Eva, two Muslim girls, whose encounter with the screen becomes a turning point and spurs them to seize a camera and begin filming their daily lives. They are growing up in a valley plagued by radicalism, where most people dwell in constant fear that their relatives will sacrifice their lives in the name of God.
