Ben Roy - Hyena
Onstage, Ben wields a knife and snatches an audience member by the ears, locking eyes and peering into their soul as he intones, "I was on extended basic cable television!" He roars with eccentric, almost ecstatic fervor—and the audience responds in kind with a feral, carnivorous energy that lends the special its apt title, "Hyena." With the crowd in tow, he unleashes a tirade about the downfall of American society, arguing that letting go may be our last, best hope in a chaotic yet surprisingly optimistic meditation on our inevitable demise and the cackling laughter we can savor while watching it unfold.
