Season 2

Season two finds Bernard convinced that Manny has lost his mind. Manny, anxious about the reliability of his magic hot water bottle, taps his underworld connections to help Fran land a job. Fran wrestles with her inner karma while she looks for cigarettes and makes excuses to have another drink. Under constant threat from the nasty, unfeeling outside world, Bernard, Manny, and Fran strive to safeguard the bookshop as a haven, even as their own relentless stupidity pushes them toward mayhem.
