An aimless young high school dropout lands a job at a quiet suburban fish shop, where he resolves to steal a rare, valuable pufferfish to reinvent his life. As he attempts to hawk the prized creature to a wealthy collector, his plan unravels into paranoia, perilous encounters, and toxic relationships.
