Season 1
The inaugural season of the Australian police drama Blue Heelers premiered on the Seven Network on 10 September 1993, airing on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM. "Keep your hand's off him and we'll be friends." The new constable Maggie Doyle arrives in Mt. Thomas, facing rampant chauvinism as she shares a beat with her ex-boyfriend Constable Wayne Patterson, who has recently moved there with his wife Roz. Local girl Sally-Anne is raped by her boyfriend Bruce McLaren and makes a formal complaint, but when Bruce pressures her to withdraw, withdrawal proves impossible and she attempts suicide. Maggie and Nick find her and revive her. Maggie and Wayne confront farmer Mick Doherty about parking fines. When his dog breaks its chains, Maggie shoots the dog, and Mick starts firing at them. Tom is forced to go out and have a "yarn" with Mick, and with PJ's help they secure Mick a new dog.
