Tess grows concerned for Hayley’s safety when one of the girl’s new friends is accused of attacking a schoolmate. Tom’s daughter, Susan, who has recently returned to Mt Thomas, teaches the accused boy and maintains faith in his innocence. It’s revealed that the boy killed his classmate two years earlier, dividing opinion—he was too young to be charged, but could he snap again!? When the boy’s father arrives in town, a cascade of events is set in motion that endangers Tom and Susan’s lives.
