Vanessa, a Wall Street trader, persuades her fiancé Dan to pass on buying a house in favor of a grand wedding, unleashing tensions within the couple. Karen, a fashion PR rep, has a sharp sense of style and knows her wedding dress does not fit properly, and she also knows how to speak her mind to set things right. Julia, a clinician, hires a wedding planner to help craft her fantasy wedding; but what she really needs is a counselor, not a consultant. Actress Cynthia is immersing herself in research for her new role as a bride, having bought hundreds of books on the subject. She is getting help with the preparations from her best friend and bridesmaid, Rick.
