Bus Stop is a 26-episode American drama series that aired on ABC from October 1, 1961, to March 25, 1962. Marilyn Maxwell stars as Grace Sherwood, the owner of a bus station and diner in Sunrise, a fictional town in the Colorado Rockies. Adapted from William Inge's play Bus Stop, the series enlisted Inge as a script consultant and centers on the lives of travelers who pass through the bus station and diner. The cast includes Richard Anderson as District Attorney Glenn Wagner, Rhodes Reason as Sheriff Will Mayberry, Joan Freeman as waitress Elma Gahrigner, Bernard Kates as Ralph the coroner, and Buddy Ebsen as Virge Blessing.
