Nominated for their DIY deficits by family, friends or colleagues, the participants are put though their paces at the Handyman Rehabilitation Centre - a dilapidated apartment complex in Toronto. Each Handyman and their nominator is assigned an apartment where they will execute all of the individual reno tasks. And outside, the participants must work together as a team to complete a variety of landscape challenges.

Relegated to their apartments, the first assignments begin - who will emerge as the star pupil, and who will end the episode as the worst in the class?
