Dance of Outlaws
A film about Hind, a Moroccan woman erased by rape and denied an official identity, leaving her with no option but to work as a prostitute and to perform as a traditional wedding dancer. Yet she refuses to abandon her dream of dignity, motherhood, and love despite overwhelming odds. This is a portrait of modern-day outlaws, the children of prostitutes, abandoned child brides, and those who have fled to the margins of a patriarchal Moroccan society. Told through the eyes of one young woman, the film reveals a life of constant struggle, alongside a stubborn liberation from society's rigid norms and boundaries. At the center, Hind is both vulnerable and courageous as she fights to reclaim her life, her children, and the right to live as an equal human being in the 21st century.
