In this opening episode, Devon-based fisherman Stephen Perham reveals life in the tiny, impeccably preserved fishing village of Clovelly. Stephen's family has lived and fished there for generations. He is the harbour master, tour guide, and bin man, and he moves goods along the main street with a novel approach. The village rowing team takes part in the annual regatta. Fifth-generation master-thatcher Richard Dray must replace a roof in Cockington. In Cornwall, local handywoman Lynn Batten completes final preparations at the renowned Minack Theatre as tourists from around the world arrive for the triumphant season finale. And champion beef breeders Bridgette and Steve Clamp prepare their local pedigree cows for the Camborne Agricultural Show.
