Taylor Swift and Florida Georgia Line headlined from Times Square for the 2014-15 edition of New Year's Rockin' Eve, appearing among a total of 38 acts featured during the special. Fergie hosted the rebranded Billboard Hollywood Party segments and also performed. The program included studio appearances by Bastille, Charli XCX, Idina Menzel, Iggy Azalea, Magic!, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, Pentatonix, Ella Henderson, and Rixton. It also showcased live performances by Gavin DeGraw and Lady Antebellum from Nashville's Bash on Broadway, along with Elton John's performance from his New Year's concert at Barclays Center.
