Achilleas' wife, Flora, grows disillusioned with her marriage and is drawn back into memories of her childhood love, Alekos. Fate eventually reunites the two in a forbidden affair. Meanwhile, Alekos's wife, Soso, becomes aware of the illicit relationship and seeks revenge for her husband's betrayal. A chain of astonishing "crimes" then unfolds, with our protagonists caught as the victims.
