In a grim dungeon, a torturer bound to a secret society conducts experiments on young men, employing a range of torments in the belief that their suffering will reveal a glimpse of what lies beyond life. In earlier attempts, the men died; in this attempt, after subjecting him to extreme abuse, the torturer manages to obtain an answer from his victim, though not the one he expected.
