Erfurt - Gesichter eines Bezirkes

A documentary portrait of Thuringia's agricultural and industrial district, with the district town of Erfurt at its core and Gotha, Eisenach, and Weimar noted as other towns steeped in tradition. While it bears the hallmarks of a promotional film, it also bears witness to the wealth of its owners and cities, and, more importantly, to those who, within the framework of monument protection in the GDR, restored these buildings with Gothic and Renaissance splendor and preserved them for posterity.
