Fajr
Under a Moroccan desert night, forms blur as silence drifts across the sand. With the first light of dawn, the dunes reveal their silhouettes, while motionless figures punctuate the horizon. From the night’s abstraction, light returns dimension to space and gives volume to bodies. Stillness sharpens the gaze and makes time feel denser. The adhan, the Muslim call to prayer, rises, and the immobility that had been condensing begins to radiate. And now the bodies themselves dissolve into the desert.
