Season 7
The seventh season of the American reality series Food Network Star, which had been renamed, premiered on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Returning as judges are Food Network executives Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson, joined by Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis for this season. The competition was filmed on location in Los Angeles, California and New York, New York. After the first episode aired under the title "The Next Food Network Star", the series was retitled "Food Network Star" and this name was used from the second episode onward.

Fifteen ambitious Food Network Star hopefuls descend on Hollywood’s iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theater, where they meet each other for the first time and are welcomed by Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis. For their first Camera Challenge, the finalists must craft a breakfast dish that embodies their personality and culinary point of view. Their first Star Challenge has them shooting promos for their shows as well as cooking for a panel of Hollywood's press, including Mario Lopez from television's Extra. The first finalist is sent packing.
