Season 2

Season two opens in 1983, the height of the Cold War, as tensions between the United States and the USSR peak. The Department of Defense has moved into Mission Control, and NASA's militarization becomes a central thread in several characters' arcs: some oppose it, some exploit it to further their own interests, and some find themselves in the midst of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war.
