For the Birds
One by one, a flock of small birds settles along a telephone wire. The close-knit gathering already faces its own tensions, and then a large, dopey bird arrives, eager to join them. The birds of a feather can't help but mock him, and their clique mentality ends up embarrassingly exposed.

Der große Vogel darf nicht zu den kleinen Vögeln auf die Stromleitung. Einfach, weil die kleinen Vögel es nicht wollen. Was auf den ersten Blick wie eine simple Animationsfilmalberei aussieht ist auf den zweiten Blick ein Plädoyer gegen Diskriminierung. Und ja, die kleinen Vögel lernen vielleicht etwas zu hart ihre Lektion. [Sneakfilm.de]

Well talk of being hoist with you're own petard... A tiny bird perches on the telephone wire where it is soon joined by a dozen or so of it's fellows. This looks like a pretty routine event for these flighty friends. The equilibrium is shattered, though, when a much larger, ganglier, bird arrives and they really do disapprove. They are downright unfriendly towards their visitor - but maybe they ought to be kind else they might find themselves embarrassed. This is quite an entertaining and nicely animated, if very short, feature that extolls the virtue of sharing and not judging a book by it's cover.
