Jamal encounters eerie masked creatures in the park and discovers a THABTO button at the very site where they appeared. His sister, Danitra, heads off to college and leaves him her computer. On his first day, he receives a cryptic message asking, "Where are the children, are they OK?" Lenni Frazier, a classmate of Jamal, is also contacted by the strange ghost-like entity. Who is this mysterious being? Meanwhile, elementary student Gaby Fernandez has her backpack stolen on the way to school.
