Now in its 19th season, Grey Sloan Memorial has undergone significant changes. Following Bailey's resignation, Meredith steps in as Interim Chief of Surgery, and under her leadership she revives the residency program, recruiting surgical residents who were either not admitted to other programs or expelled from their previous ones. As the team of doctors lean on one another for support, they discover that medicine and relationships cannot be defined in black and white.
