Episode Guide
The São Geraldo chalice is a thousand-year-old silver treasure commissioned by the great-great-great-grandfather of D. Afonso Henriques for use at meals. It is part of the Museu da Sé de Braga's collection. Crafted 150 years before the foundation of Portugal and a century before the construction of Braga’s Sé, it dates to the dawn of the Reconquista. The São Geraldo chalice stands as the oldest jewelry testimony to how Arab culture is woven into the DNA of Iberian Christians.
