Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino

While preparing to return to Italy, Jose and Hilshire visit an antique shop in France to select gifts for their partners, Henrietta and Triela. During the train ride home, Jose is haunted by a memory of his Balkans assignment, when he had to leave his younger sister Enrica in the care of his elder brother, Jean. Back in Italy, Jose and Henrietta join Jean and his partner Rico, along with Hilshire and Triela, as they pursue a group of bombers after they carry out an attack. With aid from all parties, the bombers are captured. Later at headquarters, Henrietta goes to Jose's room and discovers a kaleidoscope addressed to a 'Louise Antoinette Rolle,' whom Henrietta suspects is Giuseppe's lover. Heartbroken, she returns to her room and shares this suspicion with her roommates, Claes and Triela. Claes recalls that the woman is the mistress of a nineteenth-century author who frequently used the character 'Henrietta' in his novels. Pleased, Henrietta joins Jose for stargazing, while Claes notes that the kaleidoscope is likely fake.
