Gurdeep Singh Bains

Gurdeep, a thirteen-year-old Canadian Sikh, grows up with a family that operates a dairy farm near Chilliwack, British Columbia. They have preserved their language and faith. Gurdeep's life weaves attendance at the Sikh temple, playing soccer with his classmates, and farm work into a seamless daily rhythm. Yet, wearing a turban sometimes makes him feel subtly different from his peers. This film is part of the Children of Canada series.
