Harriet at Play
A 1970s Butlins documentary in a Tony Palmer–led series, announced in The Stage on 25 July 1974 (p. 14). Then tentatively titled Harriet, the project would place Harriet Crawley in a sequence of roles designed to put her on the spot: she will go up and down with a group of sky divers, work with an elephant trainer in a circus, become an operatic soprano and even sing in a performance of Carmen, and for a time inhabit a Hell's Angel's moll. Patrick Dromgoole served as the executive producer. The program was slated for transmission in the HTV area.
