Season 1
Dr. Bill Hoffman is a gifted therapist with a lucrative practice and the author of several definitive psychotherapy texts. Yet his inflated ego takes a bruising as he confronts the end of his 25-year marriage to his wife Anne, and he must also face the news that his daughter is dating her psychology professor. Change accelerates around him, and Bill struggles to keep pace. In his group therapy roster, he must contend with a compelling set of patients: Dave, who recently attempted suicide by leaping from his office window and landing on his boss; Jonathan, a self-proclaimed metrosexual in deep denial about possibly being gay; Inger, a 25-year-old self-made millionaire who utterly lacks social graces and hasn’t had a real date in over six years; Darlene, whose plethora of psychological issues includes an obsession with Dr. Hoffman; and Michael, whose anger issues at work led to mandatory group therapy.
