Kim Deuk Pal, a 47-year-old gangland enforcer, sits as the second-in-command of his organization. Brought up in poverty, he lacks formal schooling, yet harbors a dream of attending a university. He has been diligently studying to reach that dream, though the path is fraught. One day, he encounters a young man, Song Yi Heon, poised to take his own life. In that moment, Deuk Pal's spirit inhabits the body of the 19-year-old high school student about to die by suicide. Deuk Pal soon discovers that Yi Heon has been tormented by bullying, driving him toward self-destruction. Now inhabiting Yi Heon's body, Deuk Pal confronts the bullies to punish them and befriends classmate Choi Se Kyung. Se Kyung is a model student who seems to have it all, yet endures domestic violence at the hands of his father.
