House of Cards
When Ruth Matthews's husband dies in a fall at an archaeological dig, her daughter Sally copes with the loss in a disturbingly peculiar fashion. As Sally's condition worsens, Ruth seeks the help of Jake, an expert in childhood autism. Jake attempts to draw Sally out of her mental disarray through traditional therapy methods, but Ruth chooses a different path. She risks her own sanity by entering her daughter's mind to make sense of the seemingly bizarre behaviors Sally exhibits, including the construction of a wondrous house of cards.
