It Happened in Honolulu

A beautiful girl becomes the focal point of her ambitious mother's matchmaking plans to marry her to an English nobleman. The heroine, however, loves a plain American, the son of a wholesale fish dealer. The ineffectual father also admires the young American, but his wife overrides him, and the family heads for Honolulu, where the matriarch hopes her daughter will wed the nobleman.
