Keep The Faith
Lorraine Carter inhabits a quiet, scornful existence in the drab suburbs of Lincoln. Restless and discontented, she nourishes dreams of what once was and what might have been. Having once roamed the road as the lead singer of a punk band, Lorraine stood as a true rock star, or nearly so. When those early ambitions were cut short and life pushed her forward, her days as a proud punk rocker seemed over. Trading the punk scene for a nine-to-five routine and the microphone for motherhood, she watched from the margins as life sped by. Beaten down, overlooked, and belittled by the world around her, Lorraine grows tempestuous. She yearns to reclaim her creative identity, to express herself, and to fight for what she believes in. She prepares to come to terms with her past, to overcome her fears, and to take the stage once again. With a microphone in hand, she delivers a simple phrase: Keep the faith, it's all we've got.
