Lily Cole's Art Matters

Six-episode arts documentary series hosted by Lily Cole, the supermodel, actress and Cambridge Arts graduate. Cole gains unprecedented access to today’s most revered contemporary artists. In the name of Art, she treks across the desert with Christo, the celebrated 'wrap' artist; learns the art of boomerang throwing with Mexican artist Gabriel Orozco; models for a nude portrait for contemporary artist Fiona Banner; receives a drawing lesson from sculptor Antony Gormley; travels to Monaco for Marc Quinn’s latest exhibition; and paints alongside Tacita Dean, the doyenne of celluloid film. These intimate portraits of artists at home and at play reveal facets rarely seen. Largely observational in style, the series also features contributions from high-profile curators, collectors and art commentators—from Ralf Rugoff, Director of the Hayward Gallery, to Germaine Geer and public-arts advocate Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
