In 2048, the Lingyun system stands as the first deployment of a smart-brain democratization program, slated for a pilot in the urban expanse of Mirage City. An accident at the Lingyun system conference unleashes emotional entanglements among its co-founders Zhou Tong and Zhao Feibai, together with childhood friends Ayigul and Aizmat. To advance his objectives, Zhou Tong seals the brain-consciousness of Zhao Feibai, Ayigul, and Aizmat within the Lingyun system's sandbox space, but inadvertently triggers the system's inaugural intelligent AI, Lucoco. Everything centers on the imprint game embedded in the four individuals' memories from that year, a crisis of intelligence that unfolds across the boundary between real and virtual worlds, governed by the code of human heart fetters.
