A tender meditation on people striving to reclaim what seems out of reach, and a quiet battle waged within. Rei Kiriyama lost his family in an accident when he was young. Now a 17-year-old professional shogi player, he is burdened by deep loneliness. He lives alone in an aging district of Tokyo, but after meeting three sisters: Akari, Hinata, and Momo, his world begins to change, little by little.
