Mariupolis
The city of Mariupolis lies along the Azov Sea and sits on the Kalmius River. Its population reaches roughly half a million, according to the latest census, and most residents toil at the steel factory, while others fish for leisure or sustenance between shifts. An Orthodox church towers over the city, its recently constructed bronze domes standing beside it, waiting to be donned. Nearby, a tent shelters a crying icon, which draws a steady stream of visitors.
