On June 10, 1990, during British Airways Flight 5390, a cockpit window blew out, partially ejecting the captain and injuring him through the opening. A member of the cabin crew clung to his legs as the co-pilot executed an emergency landing, with no fatalities. The captain was found alive after spending 21 minutes outside the cockpit.
