Episode 1 unfolds on New Zealand's North Island, beginning in Wellington, the capital. Traveling with my Kiwi friend Matt, he guides me off the beaten track to reveal how Kiwis enjoy their own country. The itinerary includes Vinegar Hill, Napier, Tokomaru Bay, Rere Rockslide, and Whakatane for the White Island Volcano Tour. Next, I accompany Matt on the classic backpacking trail, turning him into a tourist in his own homeland. The journey continues with stops in Auckland, Waiheke Island, Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, Rotorua, Taupo, and the Tongariro Crossing.
