Half-blind and half-deaf, the ostracized Cuban writer Rafael Alcides struggles to finish his unpublished novels, only to discover that decades have passed and the homemade ink from the typewriter he used to write them has faded. The Cuban Revolution is depicted as a tale of love and eventual deception, seen through the eyes of a man living in inner exile.
