Pasang: In the Shadow of Everest
Breaking cultural boundaries and forging a path against the grain, Nepali climber Pasang Lhamu Sherpa pursued an Everest ascent four times in the early 1990s. Denied schooling in her youth, she refused to let that restriction dim her ambitions. After establishing her own trekking company in Kathmandu, she paved a path for Nepali women through her relentless pursuit of Everest. Demonstrating the power of what you can dream and how far you can go to realize those dreams, she left a legacy for the family she has left behind and for the myriad women who would follow in her footsteps.
