Penguin Island
Exclusive to museum and aquarium cinemas, the film invites audiences to the untouched landscapes of a fantastical island wilderness, home to one of the planet’s most iconic and beloved animals. Shot on the dramatic, uninhabited sub-Antarctic Crozet Archipelago, which is home to more than half a million breeding pairs of penguins, the film chronicles the arrival of a solitary, determined male suitor, driven by instinct to return to this treeless mote in the vast Southern seas. Here, against all odds, he must find a true mate among a cacophony of colony rivals, protect a precious egg, and start a family.
