Peyton Place
Set in the outwardly respectable New England community of Peyton Place, shopkeeper Constance McKenzie seeks to atone for a past indiscretion that produced her illegitimate daughter Allison by adopting a stringent, prudish attitude toward all things sexual. Yet, despite her best efforts, she cannot resist the lure of handsome new teacher Michael Rossi. Meanwhile, the restless Allison longs to be as carefree as the town’s fast girl Betty Anderson and ultimately falls in love with Norman Page, a mama’s boy who is a bit mixed-up.
