Zoologist Nigel Marven journeys through the Canadian Arctic to study its wildlife. In spring, he begins a nine-month quest to explore the realm of the polar bear. His voyage includes a dogsled ride from Churchill to observe Arctic foxes and caribou, braving -30°C temperatures to witness the jaw-dropping majesty of the Northern Lights at Wapusk National Park, and tracking a polar bear mother and her two cubs across the tundra.
