Season 4

Jim returns home to recover from a serious head injury after being shot in last season's finale, triggering a clash among Syd, Joanie, and Robbie as they respond to the changes in their father. Syd contends he needs more help than they can provide at home; Joanie believes he should be surrounded by loved ones in his own environment, while Robbie remains detached and angry over the 'loss' of the father he knew. Amid the domestic tension, Syd must also contend with a neurotic patient who believes television characters are real people.
