Ten years have passed since the end of Bakumatsu, a turbulent era that incited citizens to rise against the Tokugawa shogunate. The revolutionaries dreamed of a peaceful era and a thriving nation free from oppression. The Meiji era has dawned, yet true peace remains elusive.
